English translation: When I was eight years old, my father gave me a beautiful red bicycle. It had two wheels, a small basket at the front, and a bell that went "ding ding!" I was very happy and named it "Rouge."
English translation: Every day after school, I went out with Rouge. I rode along the quiet street near my home. Sometimes my friends came to play with me. We had races or stopped to watch the birds in the trees.
English translation: At first, I fell often. Once, I fell on the sidewalk and got a small scrape on my knee. My father helped me get up and said, "Don’t worry—it’s normal!" He held the saddle for weeks while I practiced.
English translation: One morning, my father said, "Try it without me." I took a deep breath… and pedaled! I rode alone for ten meters. I shouted with joy! Since that day, I ride everywhere—even to the bakery to buy croissants.
